Stephanie King-Scott
Initially trained as a biochemist, Stephanie developed a passion for reading, writing and all things literacy after witnessing and supporting her three sons with their literacy acquisition as a stay-at-home mum. Once her sons went off to school, Stephanie followed her passion and completed a Graduate Diploma in Speech and Language. She worked in schools for four years, supporting students with learning difficulties from Prep to Yr8. Working closely with students in their formative years made Stephanie realise that most of the students’ challenges stemmed from a word-level reading and spelling difficulty. This led her to pursue a literacy specialisation through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Language Education (IMSLE) and is now an accredited MSL Educational Specialist as well as an Accredited Member of the Australian Dyslexia Association (AMADA).
