Stephanie King-Scott
Initially trained as a biochemist, Stephanie developed a deep interest in reading, writing and literacy while supporting her three sons through their early literacy development as a stay-at-home mum. As she worked closely with her own children, she became increasingly aware of how foundational reading and spelling skills shape a child’s confidence and learning.
Once her sons began school, Stephanie followed this passion and completed a Graduate Diploma in Speech and Language. She went on to work in schools for four years, supporting students from Prep to Year 8 with a range of learning difficulties. Through this work, Stephanie observed that many students’ ongoing challenges could be traced back to difficulties at the word level — particularly in reading and spelling.
This insight led Stephanie to pursue specialist training through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Language Education (IMSLE). She is now an accredited MSL Educational Specialist and an Accredited Member of the Australian Dyslexia Association (AMADA).
