READING RISE
What We Offer
Individualised Sessions
We provide one-on-one, individualised literacy intervention for primary aged students (Prep to Yr6) who are having difficulty reading, writing, and/or spelling. Sessions are tailored to the specific needs of each student and target essential skills, including phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Sessions prioritise engagement and motivation, which are key for success.
Multi-Sensory Language Specialists
As Multi-sensory Language (MSL) Specialists, we use a structured language education approach, which involves evidence-based, direct, explicit instruction of literacy skills in a systematic and cumulative manner based on the Science of Reading.
Specialised and Diagnostic
Sessions are specialised and diagnostic: the student’s individual needs guide planning and instruction. We also provide parental support and guidance on how best to support a student’s learning. The first session involves an initial assessment to determine a student’s strengths and weaknesses and to inform a starting point for intervention. If requested, we can provide a written report detailing a student’s literacy strengths and areas in need of support.
